Upland Bird Hunt Experience
What the Hunt Is Like
Upland hunting is an active, hands-on experience. You should be prepared to spend several hours outdoors and to walk over uneven ground. Conditions can vary from day to day. Weather, terrain, vegetation, and bird behavior all play a role in the hunt.
Some days may provide fast action, while others require patience and persistence. The experience isn't measured solely by the number of birds harvested. It's the sound of the dogs working, the anticipation of a point, the beauty of the countryside, and the stories shared along the way that make an upland hunt memorable.
Experienced Guides & Bird Dogs
A knowledgeable guide can make a tremendous difference in an upland hunt. Our guides understand the terrain, know where birds are likely to hold, and help hunters make the most of their time in the field.
Our bird dogs are an important part of the experience as well. Watching a trained dog work scent, establish a point, and hold steady before a flush is one of the most rewarding parts of upland hunting. Whether you're familiar with working dogs or seeing a trained bird dog in action for the first time, you'll quickly understand why they're such an important part of the hunt.
